Davidson happens to fall into this North area, pretty much the jewel of this Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville corridor. And for new construction, you’ll find River Run and Maple Grove offering high-end luxury custom homes from builders like Copper and Arthur Rutenberg Homes (Paragon is the local franchisee). In fact, if you wanted the perfect Davidson location, just one block to downtown Davidson, Call or Text 704-345-3400. And then there’s the Atlanta builder who most closely resembles fellow ATL builder John Wieland Homes, namely Peachtree Residential who is doing well beautifying Blackwood Knoll with luxury homes. This subdivision offers a pastoral setting with 20 acres of open space and a community lawn to enjoy. And being near to Huntersville’s Birkdale Village, golf courses and Lake Norman speaks volumes. Then there’s Lennar Homes’ Davidson East and Westbranch, Walden by Taylor Morrison, and Olmstead with homes in the 400s. Homes for sale under $400,000 are offered by Mattamy Homes in Magnolia Walk and Meridale. First Time Home Buyers are flocking to Highland Park and Highland Park West from DR Horton, and for good reason.
Charlotte’s Got a Lot in Midwood
New construction in the hipster neighborhood known as Plaza Midwood comes in the form of “tear-downs” and rebuilding million-dollar-plus homes, for instance on Cramer Pond or Maymont Place (local favorite, award-winning Grandfather Homes). Like modern design with clean, clear lines in your new home? Charlotte has a number of amazing, cutting-edge young urban pioneer builders here, including Rivus and Williams Farrow Builders, plus some who build to LEED Gold Standards. Modern again, on an infill lot just off 36th in The Arts District, next to NoDa. Walk to the Light Rail and go anywhere across town from South Blvd to University. Villa Heights and Plaza Hills are destinations for those desiring urban living in Charlotte. And local classic builder Saussy Burbank has made her mark with new construction “cool” in Historic Cherry, where my firm, ProStead Realty is. DR Horton is capturing those purchasing for the first time in Lanier Village, as is LGI in The Reserve at Canyon Hills.
Heading out of town to Cabarrus County
If I wanted happiness all day, I’d just follow Classica Homes around! Here in Granary Oaks, Bill Saint and his team are offering luxury in their usual classy way, in the 700s-800s. Let’s go and I’ll prove it to you! And besides Classica, another one of my favorite local home builders is Niblock Homes, offering homes in Concord’s Woodbridge (patio ranches), Overbrook Manor and Sycamore Ridge. These are local builders with a heart. For instance, of the two builders in Grantham, which one would I be happy to introduce you to? Essex Homes, of course. Now that Bonterra Builders in Cedarvale Farms is a Taylor Morrison subdivision, I continue to be impressed. Century Communities also builds in Cedarvale. Homes here in Concord are also being built by the second largest homebuilder in North America, none other than Canada-based Mattamy Homes, with a strong presence in Charlotte. Let’s consider Castlebrooke!
Dominating in the $300,000 – 400,000 price point is DR Horton at Skybrook North Villages and Austin Corners. Under 400k? I favor Eastwood Homes’ Parkview Estates and Kellswater Bridge, as well as Taylor Morrison’s Hunton Forest. Now for a high-quality, all-brick home for sale in the mid 300s, it doesn’t get any better than McGee Huntley builders in Fieldstone. Remember to reach out to me for buyer representation, because if you call the listing agent at ReMax or walk into a Model Home, you don’t have an agent; only the Seller does. And interestingly enough, the Seller pays my Buyer’s Agent fee, so why wouldn’t you want help in purchasing?
Please note that you’ll run across a lot of great new construction ranch homes and 1.5 story bungalows from Niblock Homes, Cresswind Charlotte by Kolter, and some of those great Taylor Morrison ramblers throughout this north, northeast, Cabarrus side of the greater Charlotte metro area. I’d love to help navigate you through all of them. Call or Text me, Roger Holloway of ProStead Realty at 704-345-3400.
